I'm afraid that a Reconstruction-era decisions has already made rulings in the favor of the executive branch.

Several Southern states sued arguing against military occupation and sovereignty. Since DC is a federal district, they're on 'new' ground. But they're less sovereign than a state. So it won't work their way, IMO.

There was a homeless person yelling and screaming at Logan’s Circle McDonalds. I had enough of living like this, texted 50-911 a video. 

Within 3 minutes the guy was being politely helped by a single MPD officer who approached the guy. Stern but with kindness. The cops MPD and NG backup were outside watching carefully.

THIS is crime prevention. 5 more minutes on his own and that guy would have been in handcuffs. He was spiraling saying he had no family and just wanted food. 

I was a flag waving Kamala supporter, and there are only 2 actions of Trump that I don’t vehemently oppose (this and Ticketmaster EO). But addressing crime is a responsibility of our elected officials. 

I literally don’t understand why Chicago didn’t have the governor pre-empt Trump’s Title 10 (federal controlled) activation by invoking Title 32 (federally funded, state controlled) first. They could take control of the situation. 

They can attempt to sue, but the law says Trump can step in to enforce civil or criminal law where the state is unable, fails, or refuses to protect the rights of its people. Previous Presidents have done the same thing, and legal precedent has been set.
